Serious Issues Deserve Serious Attention: Bullying, Mental Health & Electronic Addiction
As a mental health professional, Cynthia knows that student well-being is the foundation of academic achievement. She will work to strengthen resilience, address electronic addiction, and ensure safer, healthier learning environments.

Cynthia received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Weber State University. She has provided counseling services to active-duty service members, veterans, and their families through the VA. She has experience as a substance abuse counselor in Okaloosa County, working with adults diagnosed with severe opioid addiction.
Cynthia has also worked as a caregiver for children removed from their homes by the Department of Children and Families in the state of Utah, and has provided case management services through the Military and Family Readiness Center in Tucson, Arizona.
